“In today’s world we all need a therapeutic calming healing break, and no child or family should be left without it”

Our Story

Maital Healing Arts Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit corporation was established 2019, organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes, specifically to provide art education in pottery wheel, sculpting, and painting classes for children, youth, autistic, and special needs in the inner-city and underserved communities, who lack the access to such programs and/or finances to afford such services.

Due to financial restraints and drastic budget cuts, many LAUSD schools have eliminated such art programs from their curriculum depriving children and youth of this creative outlet.  Unfortunately, some children and families don’t have access to art programs such as these in their community, schools, or after school programs.

Studies have shown that access to art in schools aid development, cognitive, social and behavioral outcomes, problem solving, and creative thinking.

In addition to the developmental benefits, these art programs are very healing, relaxing, and therapeutic. Numerous studies have proven art to be therapeutic and healing. The Maital Healing Arts Foundation provides art education in pottery wheel, hand building, sculpting, and painting classes to our beneficiaries free of charge.

 Our Solution

Maital Healing Arts Foundation, a firm believer in the power of art education, is supporting to fund pottery & sculpting classes for our beneficiaries. Our beneficiaries include children, youth, autistic and special needs from inner city schools and underserved communities.

All children and youth require this artistic outlet as a crucial aid in development, problem solving, communication skills, and self-expression. This art form is also a beautiful family bonding experience allowing everyone of all ages to be on the same playing field.

We have funded several classes for our beneficiaries with sales of donated ceramic pieces and our generous donations so far, however we need your help to continue this dream and share the powerful, magical effects of this ancient form of art. Your donation will go in full towards funding classes for our beneficiaries.

Letter from the board

Being the owner and operator of Maital Ceramics Studio for the past 8 years. I cater to kids, adults, and families of all ages. I have seen first hand the magical transformations and how uplifting this art can be for myself personally as well as for all of my patrons.

About 20+ years ago, I discovered the magic of sculpting with clay on a trip to Egypt, being in high demand as a makeup artist in Hollywood I had no idea how much I would personally need this clay therapy for myself years later. I spent 25 years of my life making people feel beautiful on the outside .. a temporary fix.. only to later discover it wasn’t helping their inside.

I finally found time to delve deep into the art of ceramics 14 years ago and was immediately immersed, fascinated and in love with its extraordinary effects. I felt like I found my true calling and purpose in life. I knew it was an art form I wanted to pursue and share with others. I recognized the therapeutic, meditative, and uplifting benefits of playing with clay. Six years ago I brought my dream and labor of love to fruition and opened Maital Ceramics Studio.

During this time I discovered a vast amount of people who wanted to learn, to experience, and to understand this art form, but could not afford it. This led me to start my passion project and form Maital Healing Arts Foundation.
